Wow a lot of great stuff in the last few post. Thanks much Gentlemen! Yes I do have both Don Ross's book. They are great books but I think that experience is what really matters in this hobby. I think my biggest drawback is that not only am I my Model Club's President I'm it's only member. Anyway someday I hope to have a real Model Club. This hobby is not for the faint of heart. Yes I had my share of failures with ole kit 507 but i''m not quitting on it. I think with a little bit more help I can do this. I think my main problem was with my trimming the model. My flying/Trimming is getting better.

@ Howard, Mitch and Rayd.

I been thinking about your posts and I think you guys are correct. I think my main problem is that I have been way off in my motor/propeller selection. I have to rebuild the wing of my experimental Zero. I than will apply your advice and see how I do. I honestly had been stuck on two loops of 1/8 inch rubber. I am now starting to see that was too much rubber, too much speed. to much crash. I am learning slower steady wins the race. as always thanks much for the advice.

One way to reduce weight is to lengthen the nose (e.g. Cox Stuka photo posted by WIDDOG page 2 of this thread) if you're willing to sacrifice scale fidelity. The disadvantage of moving the wing back is that you shorten the tail moment arm.

Since I made several major mistakes, I decided to start/continue this thread under a new Topic. Building/Flying Kit 507 Rufe/Zero. I will get a new start and hopefully I will have better results.
