Hey ADW,
Great job with the color scheme! The panel lines on the empennage really look great!
What are you exactly using to lay in those panel lines? I remembered a discussion about this topic somewhere on this board, but couldn't find it again. Yours looked to be perfect in scale, and very clean. I'd like to give it a try.
Looking forward to the end product pictures.

Re: B-17 Flying Fortress Build to Static
I used a ruler for very flat surfaces. If there are curves, i used a bendable straight edge (Masking tape layered a bunch of times over itself to make it thicker)
for the flap outlines i used the paper flaps included in the kit and traced them onto the frame, so I wouldnt have to do any guess work.

Re: B-17 Flying Fortress Build to Static
Then do you use a super fine point brush with paint, or a ultrafine sharpie?

Sharpie all the way! Since i am using water based paint, i can use acetone to remove the sharpie if I make an error.

Thank You ADW,
Appreciate the help very much!
I'm going to give that technique a try today. I'm off to get some Sharpies, and a bendable straightedge.
Thanks again buddy. All the best on completion of your B-17.
