I remember when this build was still an abstract idea in Your Head. I have been following it, and it is becoming very nice. You should sell the Plans

Nice job Widd, happened across the pic on HPA site also. You get 1k winds on that thing and it will take off a finger..lol. BTW I went to the plan link the guy posted for ya and ended up buying the ME-262 and FW-190 blueprints to frame up.

When I originally talked to Guillow s about a c130 they where polite but said not interested. I sort of copied the idea from the bring back the B52 members. I really like this forum and feel that Guillow's would be my best bet to make a c130 kit. I have a few old out of production kit plans that I have on HPA plans gallery.

Here is a link if ya got the bucks and room for the plane http://www.precisioncutkits.com/palmer.htm
Yes from the phone call I made it just seems like they are interested in doing what they have and just getting by.
Those blueprints I bought are actual copies of original prints from Willy M. Not for building a plane with. I think aside from.getting a expensive kit, maybe if you bought plans and scaled em down you might be able to talk a cottage 3D shop into selling some kits or make a deal to sell off kits urself. Sell short kits with a plan only. * I can see myself installing mini-guns in one now.

True, I agree with you. What gets to me is Guillow's has this great forum. I changed my mind and decided to only post my Guillow's builds here on this forum.

I got thinking after my last post. Alot of guys use the Sissix Eclips 1 & 2 for cutting out balsa ribs, formers, even strip stock. I saw a small company that come up with a package that replaces the cutting tool and its a laser package they have made up. The head unit and stuff you put in the eclips is roughly 200.00. The Eclips runs around 250.00 on Amazon. Shipping and stuff a person would have 500.00 in whole deal. Bet nobody could by a laser setup for 500.00 that isnt a POS Chinese unit.

NcGunny,

Now that sounds like a good investment.

Where do you get the laser cutter head?

I have my wife looking for it atm. She found it on her pc going through the Fund my idea site. It had been completed and was in production. No Chinese components used in it..all USA products. Will post it as soon as she.refinds it.

I'm not so sure I'm a huge fan of laser cut kits or not. I like to pick my own wood. However I am totally interested in a home laser cutter. Right now I am more interested in a vacuum former. I had made one however I need to definitely improve on it.

I bought some building supplies for my C130 from Guillows. The website even mentions scratch builders. So I am going to post the this build.

I am presently working on a plastic vacuum forming device.

Sorry for the delay. I was practicing my 4ch RC flying. I decided to make this build a 3 ch rc instead of a FF rubber powered. The time I spent building Guillow's kit is really paying off. The C 130 is actually starting to look good.

Thanks Much. I decided to make this kit a 3ch ( rudder, elevator and throttle) I'm sort of sacrificing appearance to get to the flight test. I mean I have no idea if it will fly or not. So I decided not to spend too much time on appearances.
