Once Dale tells me she's done done with it, I'll go out and see if it'll fly... I think it might, it's built pretty straight...

Thanx, John... Rust-o-leum rattle can cammo paint from walmart...

The FW 190 sent to me is just about done as well. The bones of the kit are basically done. Just gotta put the wings and tail assemblies on and the Under Carriage.

Final notes before assembly and any suggested modifications with photos, should arrive in your inbox Dale sometime before Monday. Do you want notes on covering too, or can we do that as we wish.

FYI, emailed to her. She is Guillow's in-house designer.

Thanks for letting me know. I assumed: Dale, like Dale Earnhardt was what I was thinking.

Hi Guys...and Gals,

Just back for another day at home... Here is my latest construction(destruction)...
Image
I will need to make repairs and finish this Porter at home... :x

I ordered some parts from Guillows and they are on the way. I will start my Beta Build of the Thunderbolt at home, starting after Christmas. That way I will have a safe work place to build the model and I will give Dale the feedback she requests.

With the parts I ordered I can build 3 Thunderbolts. :D I plan to build the beta version first. I will be home for a while after Christmas and will have time to build the Thunderbolt.

The weather is starting to get rough...but I was also able to build this last trip:

Still need to put the gutters on and do some weathering...Christmas time is always my model train time...
Merry Christmas, Mitch

Hi Guys,
Although I can not speak for the 500 series, I am testing the 1000 series Thunderbolt. I received the same kit would would buy at your LHS, plus a set of laser cut parts. There are no marks on the laser cut parts and there are reference pages to show me what the parts are. I have started my test build and will email all my comments to Dale. I will not post a build thread but will post a picture of the skeleton when I am done.

Did anyone else not hear back from Dale when they emailed her feedback? I never got anything back to confirm the email was received

I received a reply from Dale after she received my feedback. You might want to send a follow up email to make sure that she got it.
