Those look really nice Mitch. Good job on the tissue. 8)

A ship seems like it would be pretty close quarters to build a balsa plane, let alone the whole series of Guillow's 400 warbirds. lol... Good for you man! No running out to the local hobby shop if you need something while at sea.

Do you ever get static from your shipmates about the smell? (Glue, dope, paint, etc...)

I hope they fly great for you. All the best.

Before Pearl Harbor, there was China...my Mitsubishi Zero is ready to take to the Skies over Scenic Hill... but school is in session now so I have to wait until school is out as my "Flight Field" is shared with the K-6 School's Field.

Although the box and Guillow instuctions call for Brown on top and Blue bottom my Zero is in what I think a more traditional color of Dark Green over light Grey. This is what I think the land based zero over China would be.

I believe most Carrier based planes were white as they were harder to see at a distance... this was when Radar did not exist and spotting aircraft was based on Visual.

Flight tests will start when school is out... Mitch

PS: Note the opening on the stbd underside behind the peg. This is my entry point for the rubber motor, then I pass a dowel with a hook and pull it though the model. :) I have this on all my models in this series as it is much easier to get the motor set up!

I got one video of the Zero in the air, but it is a good reason NOT to video the FIRST test flight. I have not put it one youtube but if you guys want to see it I can still do that. The trim tab should have been further out and the Zero did a roll over and dove into the ground!

So what do you say... Yea or Ney ? Should I post it? I'll check back in 24 hours...
