First Build for 45 Years
Below are some pictures of my first build for many years please excuse colours and details as this was built to re introduce me to our wonderful hobby. I used as many of the new products available in the uk including eze dope and coloured tissue. This is obviously my first guillows kit and being laser cut i was very impressed with the fit of the parts. I would be pleased with any comments good or bad asi am always willing to learn thanks for looking and keep modelling.

Looks like you've been doing it all along. Flawless.
I imagine the modern CA glue must be a real treat if you're using it, versus the old style of pinning a few joints at a time and then waiting hours for them to dry. I built some models as a kid, and then took a 30 year break. Discovering that instant setting CA was being used for building in modern times, had a lot to do with my picking up the hobby again.

Thanks bill yes used a variety of glues including CA and even good old balsa cement it still has its uses.I was a it limited for work space so I tried the easy dope so as not to upset the boss of the house,I found it did a good job but I still yearn for an opportunity to use good old dope again will try it on my next build if the wife allows it!!!!

What's this "easy dope" you mention? I'm avoiding normal dope (because it will stink the house out) and have been using a PVA/water mix so far, which is OK, but leaves everything a little soggy.

Re: First Build for 45 Years
The product EZE DOPE is odourless and contains thinner.
I have used this, but it left the tissue looking splotchy and a complete mess. As a result went back to "normal" dope and thinners
If I were to use this again I would certainly try a test piece first. I think I most probably had a bad batch of this product considering the look of limeys build

Re: First Build for 45 Years
The eze dope I used was from a UK based source the only reason I used it was due to lack of build space and also the damp climate where I live. I think if you want to try it you should experiment first on something that is not going to be a showpiece.worth a try but possibly like ale an acquired taste.good luck. Limey.
