Can I use 2 covering (layers) of tissue
I am currently working on the Spitfire 403LC and it is for static exhibit only. My question is this: can I cover the framework with first a layer of medium tissue, and then a second layer of metallic aluminum colored paper? If so.do I just apply the second covering as I did the first, or after shrinking, or do I just put on the second layer as per the first, and shrink both together? I don't know where I get these ideas from, but it makes sense to me - danger Will Robinson, or just go and do it?

I doubt it would work due to different stretch and contraction rates of the materials and the tendency to bind up on each other. Never try a new technique on the model, build a quick mock-up frame using scrap balsa and try a few techniques on it to see how it works, keeping in mind a simple frame lacks the compound curves of a model.
