My uncle just completed his Fokker Dr.1 to by used by a local hobby store to display next to the Guillows models. It will basically show an unbuilt kit, the tools needed and my Uncles uncovered Fokker, hopefully to attract new builders. My uncle is the one who taught me everything I know about building back in the early 80s.
Does your uncle have a web site that we might be able to buy from him? Are his prices competitive? If the price difference is small, why not keep it in our 'family"?
this is awesome! As a hobby shop owner myself, I find that the unbuilt or uncovered kits get more interest than the finished ones.
I like your Uncle's stash in the background.
My Dad and I built a tri-plane using the plans from the Fokker D8 and the Fokker D7 back in the 1980's when the triplane was unavalible. (At least in our hobby shops)
Now that I own my own hobby shop, it's nice to see what the Fokker looks like.
