Some day I'll get the words and the flics in the same post. Anyways that's a lot of silver to paint in one shot and it still could have used a couple more coats with the airbrush but it looks good from where I see it. This has been the most challenging guillows kit so far, but it was still a lot of fun to do. There's a few small details left for some wintery day, but there are plenty of those on the way.

All the plastic incorporated into this plane is a true test of patience and perserverance. The other challenge is getting it put together straight and true.When I assembled the main pieces it was glued very lightly in places it would'nt be noticeable to separate for adjusting. Be very precise about the landing gear as this was a major pain to get matching and it does work nicely if you follow the plans to the "T". It is a good build and if you have questions I usually get on here daily. Have fun.

I guess the old saying about put enough power on anything and it will fly. Looking at the p-38 gives me the impression of very poor aerodynamics,but having seen Lefty Gardner in Reno says it flies quite well. So, good luck in your endeavor and I hope you'll post some pics of it flying.

Cliff, I remember that saying about having enough power and anything will fly. That saying came up when the C-124 was the big hauler. Remember that?

I can't say I am privy to that particular plane I always think of the Gee Bee racers when that old saying comes up.
