P-40 Flying Tiger Decals

Post by John G. Jedinak »

For awhile now, I have been motivated to build the Guillows P-40 in the 1/16th scale. Guillow does not include the Flying Tiger Deals. Without these decals it is just not "The P-40". Does anyone know where these decals (1/16th or 1/32nd scale) can be purchased??? Thanx JGJ

You could try making your own. Takes a bit of computer work but, it can be done. I've seen models where builders have downloaded the German WWI
lozenge pattern and printed it directly onto tissue. And I've done very simple graphics of letters and numbers printed onto tissue and then attach them to the model.

Supercruiser...........sounds like a plan, but I am totally computor challenged and illiterate. I am thinking this is not a preffered option for me. Need to locate real decals. Appreciate your response.

I just purchased the P40 and it included the tiger decals. you may want to contact Guillow's to see if you can purchase the decals.

john,

you can also go to www.rcgroups.com and under the scale electric topic there is a discussion topic about decals. on the second or third page are the tiger teeth. you could scale those to whatever size and print

Paul..............following your lead. I contacted Guillow's. They promptly replied advising that Kit #405 (1/16-28" w/s) does include the Flying Tiger decals, however, Kit #501 (1/32-16 1/32" w/s) does not.

Going to check our rcgroups.........Thanx again, JGJ

John, probably way too late for this, but Squadron Shops has the 1/32 items you want, I know because I bought a nice set from them
