C-47 build
This was assembled using kit tissue,Elmer's 50/50,and wa-mart acrylics.Elmers was used on all the wood and Duco for the plastics. The nose of the plane was a little bit of "manuevering" to get right but it all worked out. The Waco is from Dumas I believe. It now hangs in my Veteran's rep's office a

Hey Cliff....looks good. Did you find it a tougher build than most Guillows? Average? Any comments, suggestions? I'm kinda taking a poll. Santa's mailbox is already being installed I see and I want to be prepared to write. (Otherwise, I may have to order and somehow smuggle it in when better half is out, a risky thing.)

Re: C-47 build
This was my 3rd stick and tissue build and it was really a straightforward no tricks or surprises build. The plastic nose and cockpit require some extra care and I messed up on the rear support legs on the landing gear by not paying attention but it was an easy fix. From there I built the catalina which requires a little more finesse but is a beautiful build. Yes, it is definitely worth the effort of getting it through the main gates as I have to get a little creative once in awhile myself. Worth mentioning is that the plane seemed to cover very easily with the furnished silkspan as the shape will take large areas without compound curves thus covering it wet with large pieces worked well.
