I know I'm sort of beating a dead horse, but does anybody know by now when the new kits will be available. Possibly by the Holiday Season?? I would definitely bump a couple of my builds back to build the Pilatus Porter as soon as it comes out. I love that ugly plane!

I know, Guillow announced that they were coming out with them a full year ago. I have the release, dated October 2010.

New Models 300 series

Post by rayd »

Hey Guillows! I fully agree with above posts by Arlo and ADW. C'mon...I hate dangling carrot. I hoped for one of those new ones for awhile....for me, moreso the Porter. Seems the way things are goin', no point adding it to my list to Santa, or....well, you tell me. We were poor when I was a kid, why.... I was even happy to get coal then. Later. I made a stick model from flat toothpicks (really). Sometime later, I became interested in balsa, cars, and girls. Now, in these later years, seems I'm goin' back to balsa....and I like that Porter, so let's go Guillows. Just kiddin' around, but your forum members are getting restless.

It's coming, guys.

I received two pre-production Beaver kits from Guillow two weeks ago.

One thing is for sure, they do not want to release new offerings without it being as perfect as possible. I am sure they will be worth the wait.

Let's just say I think the Beaver is ready for "prime time".

Is the Porter farther behind? Also, is there any way to pre-order the kits, because I'm sure demand will be pretty high when they first hit the shelves.

No one has told me anything definite, but I suspect that since they are so close to having the entire 300 series laser cut they are holding back the release of the Beaver and Porter to coincide with the release of the older kits in laser cut.

ROFLOL!

And, may I assume, David, that this is the paint job you are going to replicate when you get your hands on one?

Kit No. 305 LC DHC-2 Beaver will be available to order January 2012. The Beaver has a 24" wing span, kit will contain percision laser cut parts and is designed to be flown rubber power. Flight testing has proven this plane to be an excellent flyer.
