Help! Kit 202-SE5A

I am attempting a build of the Kit 202 - SE5A. I can't figure out where part L6 fits. It's a rectangular part about 10cm X 2 cm.
There is a diagram of the part above the "for reference" note. I just can't find it on the assembly diagram.

Can someone please help?

It is part of the landing wheels assembly (sub-wing)
It's the spreader between the wheels

L6 in place. This it how my scratch built 202- SE5A landing gear looks. Sorry about the picture quality. My first picture posted in the forum, another skill to learn

Your picture looks fine! It shows just the detail we need to figure out that assembly.

If you're building rc, the area under the wing, between the LG struts makes a perfect access door. Mine used to be the SE5A photo for the spare parts page here, before the site changed a bit.

The "rc" in my forum name has nothing to do with radio control. They are the first letters of my middle and last name.
My knowledge of RC is microscopic. This build is a "how-to" learning build. The goal is to build without using any of the kit
material. Many firsts for me in this build ... all balsa, my first attempt at planking/sheeting.The white patches seen on the fuselage
is home made filler, using white glue, talcum powder and balsa dust. I have all the wood work done, except the propeller. How to make
a balsa propeller is in the research stage. The next steps are to learn painting with acrylics, making decals from tissue and how to
cover using esaki tissue.

Why such an approach? Balsa kits are difficult to get in my part of the world. This is the first time I have seen or touched a laser cut kit.
The precision laser cut kit parts gave me a case of "build fright"! OMG , I can't afford to goof up! This is the prescribed cure:-)

Once I am done with this, I will use the kit materials and build. Hopefully the build fright will be cured:-)

I will try Mr. Duckett's method for the propeller. That seems more achievable at my skill level.
This build will not fly. I can't weigh it, I am sure it will be too heavy for rubber power.

I have both threads on painting by Mr. Duckett bookmarked for ready reference. Wonderful tutorials!

After studying the painting, tissue and tissue decals idea, I am now thinking of using esaki tissue only for the
horizontal stabiliser (no decals on that) and do the rest with white domestic tissue. There are many white decals
which will be a challenge to make on top of colored tissue. Painting on colored esaki tissue and using it for a display model
seems to be a bad idea. My color scheme will be similar to that of Mr. Bill Gaylord .. olive green.
This way I hope to learn how to paint on tissue and also get a feel for esaki.

I still have to figure out how to make the gun. I am thinking of molding it using the kits plastic parts and home made filler.
POP maybe too brittle. Need to experiment.

I also need to think about how to attach the rigging wires.
