Awesome project Bill. I did one around 50", and would like to do another. You may motivate me, as I've been on a 190 kick lately (favorite plane) and just finished a 16.5" Guillows rc 190 that I'm optimistic about, and was not my first crack at it either. The big 50" one got a bit tail heavy, and I was discouraged with the necessary noseweight needed. I gave it to a glow flyer, who I need to get on, about getting it in the air. He got it with servos and all, basically as a motor/receiver ready plane.

Bill, better do an exceptionally good job with this one. The 400 Series Fw-190 is regarded as the finest representation of the type in a flying model kit. We'll be watching!

From the color photos I have seen they are bare metal or aluminum paint with red brake lines.

The second scheme posted Bill looks like the Peter Bremer Eastern Front scheme that I used on my second 16.5" Guillows 190. Looks like a good one, and not overdone.

That first of the two paint scheme's (top one, 8) with arctic-white) looked very different, and awsome!

between 15 and 20 pounds generally.

The 400 series planes are obviously lighter than the 1000...

next is: Sopwith Camel
