Covering completed, it'll take a half gallon of lacquer (thinned 50/50) to shrink it two coats.

Some the planes have a simple flat LE. The fabric does a pretty good job of "rounding" the profile. Lately on some planes I've been using 1/2" quarter round trim, (like for the base boards in your house) and it does a real nice job of again, "rounding" things out.

The Camel... (see new thread, in a minute or two)has a built up LE that will be sanded... (until I get bored with it, that is...)
