Guillows New Tissue

Post by scigs30 »

What is this new tissue that I found in my Guillows Beaver? My first thought.......Wow Guillows is using Esaki. When compared to Esaki it is very close but does not have the shiny waxy side that Esaki has. This tissue is lighter than the old Guillows Tissue and has pretty good wet strength just like Esaki. Esaki is 18 X 24 inches, and this stuff is 20 X 30, the same size as Domestic tissue. I would like to know where Guillows is getting this tissue and if there are any other colors........Any idea?

I find that with enough winds the planes get out of sight... then garish colors REALLY help not to mention a Barbie Pink Me 109 in full Nazi markings makes me giggle.

Yeah I can't say I'm familiar with the Austin Powers gruppe marking either. Maybe it was an unknown one, in Galland's "Flying Circus". :D

I first saw this new type of tissue in kit-1402, the F-14 Tomcat. Am not at the construction point where I am covering, but it appears to be a good substitute for the white paper we are use to. Has anyone used it ???
