Black covering
I am building a kit that will be mostly black. Since it is now winter and am without a paint booth I would like a heavey duty colored black paper. Silkspan would be great except it does not come in black...suggestions?

There's always tissue paper from a local craft store. It's doesn't have any more strength than what comes in a kit but, at least you can get black.

I agree with the comment about the Tissue from Target. I got this tissue from Target it worked out real well on my 500 series kit. This was the first time I used two different color tissue to make a camouflage pattern.

The only thing I have found is sometimes the color can wash out a tiny tiny bit from weting it.
And from the thinner/dope mix but if you are using white glue mix to coat I dont think it would be an issue.
Target also has a really good Silver. (see photos of my Spitfire and Hawker hurricane and when its done My P-51)

I use Pledge Future Floor Shine... I use this stuff to seal tissue and decals. I personally while using Pledge have never had a problem with color bleeding.

HI...just got home and got a package from easybuilt. That is where I get my tissue. They have many colors and Black is amoung them...Comes out very nice when doped. I hope to make a German lozenge pattern on my Fokker D6 so check on that next week!

Here is my last use for BLACK...the crosses are also black tissue over standard white paper.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. I was hoping for something more durable and stouter, like heavy weight silkspan as this is a large model for display. { My display area is in my shed}
