Monokote on small builds

Is monokote easier to work with than tissue on display only builds? The tissue part of the build can seem difficult for inexperienced builders.

I was told that Monokote is not good for Balsa wood kits as it shrinks it could brake wood. I dont know if you switch wood to Bass wood it would be any better. I am right now framing my display plane with Bass wood and wood filler. I hope this has helped you.
