So.......which to build next?

Post by Xanadu »

I am just finishing up on my FW, and am trying to decide which one of my many projects to build next.

Maybe you can help me out to decide.

Giant scale HellCat or P-47 Thunderbolt?

I still have afterwards a Corsair, Stuka, P38, B-27, and a PBY for those long winter nights.

If I had the room to display it...............I would do the PBY in a heartbeat. Here in the Midwest it is already the "long winter nights".................John G.

Instead of extra stringers, why not just fill in between with sheeting?
Then you would end up with an entire surface with no spaces.

I am kinda leaning towards the Hellcat, I will make up my mind this week yet so I can get started.

Or maybe I should pull out that old, B-25 Mitchell I started on years ago and try to salvage that. Mind you, thats a tough job trying to fix some old mistakes. Been in a box for over 20 years now, so............

David's Technique

Post by Hibbies »

I just entered the Forum. I'm 59, retired and now I've got lots of time to build. I've been building for maybe 50 years. But I always like to learn. Some one mentioned "David's " method of stringing extra apars. What is that ?

Sorry. I not only mis-spelled the word spar, I used the wrong part. I meant to say, was is "David's" method of stringers. Also, for the guy wondering about the radiaters for the bf109, the vents from a B-25 work quite well.
