DHC-2 Beaver Build

Post by paul »

Glad Joe decided to go for the Beaver since now being single again

After many attempts and failures, due to it not being cosmetically perfect, I thought by now I would have had a complete plane.
Still enjoying trying :D
I thought I would share this build

Hi Paul,

well she sure looks like Beaver to me and I've flown the full sized beast!

You bet, and it looks a lot better than other Beaver kits where they made the cowl dead straight, like a pop can. The correct cowling shape really makes this kit look right.

I'm not sure I am mature enough to build this kit. Just reading this thread I was giggling.

I suppose Skippy's Rule 87 applies

Rule 87. If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Hi Guys
Just a quick update on my first "complete" build.

I thought I would never get one these planes finished, or even to fly
I took her to the park and let her go, not expecting much, only to dive into the ground.
Couple of circuits i was impressed :D

Got the Piper Cherokee 140 (307) LC, and hope to do better
