The thread title clearly asks what they guy wants to know, which is about adding ailerons on a BF109 500 series kit.
Since you apparently haven't done any of this, then just refrain from responding with nonsense and wait until someone who
1. is not sarcastic
2. knows how to read the thread title
3. knows how to answer the question
reads the question and responds.

Shawn also realize that you could be making it appear as if you are davidchoate, creating a thread and responding to it, in an attempt to start drama. I don't think that is the case, but I don't think David would care for that either so it's something to think about.

It's actually a very good question, since there simply isn't a whole lot of info on converting and flying the 500 series kits. There's even less when it comes to conversions that have actually been proven in flight. I wish there was more of it when I started doing this, as it was mostly all experimentation, trial, and error.

I've added ailerons on the the 500 series FW190, which worked well with .032" music wire used for a torque rod setup.
The end result is simpler and no heavier than using separate linear servos, and flies well. The hinges are GWS hinge material, which I understand is similar to floppy disk material. The servo is a BA 2.5gm.

Individual linear 1gm servos work well also and are simpler to install, but I've had a few issues with them also. I wouldn't call one method better than the other, as gear selection should be a thing of personal choice. For really lightweight I even made a pre-bent .015" music wire setup used as an aileron cable for the Stuka, driven from a bellcrank taken off a Spektrum board linear servo that also worked the rudder and tailwheel. Worked well, but was a real nightmare to setup.

For Free Flight rubber powered models, I use the metal wire found in twist ties. Those things used on bags of loaf bread.
Strip the paper off and just use the wire. This is for making adjustable ailerons. For movable ailerons, for R/C , the previous post has the setup.

Well thanks to those who showed kindness and hospitality here but I'm not coming back here to read or post anything, a few bad apples have ruined it for me here...it was nice to see other peoples models and learned a few things in the short time I was here.

thanks gus for ur help on the AILERONS on my BF109, dont worry about the sarcasm; i got a sense of humor, and no ones perfect. im a little new to the hobby. im on my 4th build. the guillows zetro 404 turned out good. this 109 is my first aileron plasne. i just got a spektrum dx6i . you will be hearing more dumb questions from me Im sure. thanks

i dont want any drama. Im here to talk about planes, not bicker with Shawn. i hope all U.K. guys arent like him. its no wonder they needed our help to beat the Germans. TWICE! just kiddin my grandparents came here from England. but i got my aelerons together, but how do I keep the gap between the aeleron and the wing? is it ok to bevel where they attach. will it noticeably affect the airfoil? i dont wanna tape over cause it looks bad. thanks again for those pics. i will put my pics on as soon as i figure out how.

Yes, you can bevel the aileron. No, it shouldn't affect airflow.
