Dyeing/Colouring tissue

Hello everyone. Since most of these Guillows kits are supplied with either white or grey tissue, is there a way you can dye it to get a different colour? I have heard of 'chalking' but I never found a good source explaining how its done. Suggestions?

Aside from chalking, there a method to put white tissue in a printer and print your colors or markings.

Also, some stores have different colored tissues for packaging presents and such. They will work just the same as what comes in the kit. I see that you are from India so, I can't make any suggestions as to where to get the stuff.

As mentioned in the above 2 posts, I use paper from easybuilt. I have also used paper purchased from a craft store. You can also use Esaki (from Japan) but that gets expensive and has limited colors.

i really Love finishing, and doing nice paint work on my models, but when I am doing a FF model I have been using pre-colored tissue; as i have had trouble with weight after painting. I am amazed how easy it was to find colored tissue of various colors. As Mitch said the tissue for decorative packaging works well. The only problems I have had is that sometimes it tends to shrink a lot and cause warping. I am always trying new methods. I am ready to cover a model now. I will try and keep the whole thing a bit moist until its completely covered this time, and let it dry out all at once, and see what happens.
