It's a shame that all of David's tips, tutorials & advice were deleted from the board when he left. As someone new(er) to this hobby, I learned a tremendous amount from his posts, and it's more than a little unfortunate to have all of that expertise and knowledge purged from the community.

Hw is not really gone. When u see posts of my buildas. You are seeing what I learned from him. though he is gone , his legacy will live in me and anyone else he taught, and i regret that he is gone because I wanted to learn so much more of his tequniques. I cant believe it,and I hope whoever offended him apolagizes, and he'll come back.

My interactions with Mr. Duckett have brought me an admiration for the mans knowledge ,talent and skills, he does not suffer fools easily which he makes no effort to diguise. To me this is honest integrity, something to be cherished in all men. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with those of us who were privy to it. A fellow modeler,Cliff M.

I hope at some point we can let this topic drift off the first page. Since all Dave's posts are gone I believe he made his decision and that is final and we need to respect that. I feel I am one of his students and with the rest of you we will continue to improve our own talents and abilities. One last note. He is not totally gone as the pictures of his models are in the archives of Guillow's past months. Mitch... Happy Modeling to ALL!

Hi all,

David asked me to post the below.......

"Will you please post this:

David left this forum, not the world. All of his builds are posted on virtualaerodrome.com where he is a senior, and active, member.

Thanks"

I was just coming here from the modelrer's photos to post about that beautiful FW190. Would have been a crime to not be photo of the month.
