scroll saw
I am thinking about buying a scroll saws Does anyone on the forum use a scroll to cut out formers and wing ribs. I've watched the scroll saw "how to do" and "the for beginners," videos on you tubes. But there is nothing about cutting parts from 1/16 inch balsa wood stock. Is it even possible ?

Re: scroll saw
I have used mine to cut balsa but it is much easy for me to cut balsa on my bandsaw with a thin, fine blade.

Re: scroll saw
I use my band saw for cutting plywood parts, never thought of balsa...need to get a fine blade for that.
I use a shape x-acto knife for ribs. I can follow the shape of the original in one clean swoop. Then cut out the notches... easie peasie
