Hi Bubba, I'm building the series 500 Hellcat too. The cowl, as with others in this series, should fit onto the very front of the fuselage so that it just covers former B1. I think the website you're refering to is http://www.virtualaerodrome.com, you'll find lots of photos of other modellers planes there both completed and in the process of being built - I can thoroughly recommend it!

Don't worry, that little Hellcat will fly o.k. As far as the hook for the rubber motor. Look at the plans, on the profile drawing(thats the other side from what you build on), you'll see it goes through the thrust button and propeller. You'll have to bend the end of the wire after you slip the button and propeller on. Look at the prop, and you will see a notch that the wire end catches on to turn the prop. Hope that answers your question.

If you look at the profile drawing as supercruiser says, you will see a piece labelled L3 that is glued between the stringers and against former B6. There is an identical piece fixed on the opposite side of the fuselage, and the rubber band is mounted on a piece of dowel or tubing that goes through the holes in the two L3s.
