



I've done 2, 3, and 4 motor rubber powered models. The Guillow's B-25 is a little small for a full scale models with rubber power since the prop diameter is limited. It would work better if it were 30 to 36 inch span or larger. I have made multi motor models as small as 16 inch span but they were NoCals and the flat fuselage left room for the props. The trick is to keep them light with sufficient strength, design a winding stooge that works, and trim carefully. What is surprising about multi motor models is that even without opposite rotating propellers the parallel thrust lines cancel each other out and the trick is getting them to turn. The other thing is that with multiple motors a very little thrust line adjustment goes a long way.heywooood wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:05 pm the Mitchell out of the box and built to spec. would not be heavy for RB power. The real challenge is incorporating all of the plastic details - I would instead omit most of them and probably use the solid nose (mounted with magnets) omit the top turret, maybe the waist gun ports, and so on.
You would need to lighten a lot of the balsa parts and since this one is mainly a display model it uses and you are supplied with 3/32" stringers for the construction. You might want to use 1/16" instead ?
