No I didn't make a nose block. I suppose I should have really, but I don't plan on going for any endurance records or anything so I didn't think it was really necessary. I'll be new to the flying thing so I may be wrong and end up regretting it though! To be honest I'd be happy with a successful flight of any kind.

Thanks James. When I was building it I had originally intended to use chalked tissue, and actually got as far as covering the tailplane and fin with it. They looked great, but when it came to doping them the blue went all 'patchy'
. I can only assume that the dope somehow reacted adversly with the chalk dust in the tissue and spoiled the finish. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have gone wrong and how to avoid this in future?
I had been hoping to use the chalking method on all future models so I could greatly increase the number of colours I could use, and also be able to do camouflage finishes too. If I can't then it would be a major disappointment (I'm not really a big fan of paint), so I would be most grateful if anyone has any suggestions.
