I've been working on a Cessna 180 kit. It's been going well so far.
I'm a slow builder.Using Testors in the green tube.
I like the quality of the balsa, and the die cut parts.
I didn't take any pics while building the rudder / stabilizer.
I haven't had much spare time for building for weeks,
but I finally got something done today.Right wing is
done(except for the sanding),and I'm almost finished
the left wing.
It's a long weekend here,so here's hoping I get some
more done,including the fuselage

Build a few of the older Sterling smaller kits and you'll REALLY appreciate the quality of Guillow's die cut kits, not to mention everything else that is better than Sterling. Kinda difficult to build a 21" span model, when they give you an 18" span plan.
Difficult to use parts cut from 1/32" sheets, when they're supposed to be 1/16". I've been through it all with them. Pretty much like pure scratch building, except for you get a few plastic molded parts.
That's pretty bad when the plan is off by 3" on the wingspan, somebody should have
picked up on that somewhere along the line.

I finally have the fuselage finished, which was the last section left to build.
I sanded and covered the rudder in blue tissue last weekend.
I tried posting some more building pics at least a month ago,but I couldn't
get back on imgur. It seems like my AVG is causing the problem for some
reason.I'll keep trying.
This reminds me...I started building one of these 9 years ago and never finished it. I'll have to dig it out and complete it. If it flies as well as my 600 series Piper did it should be a lot of fun.

I've had a lot of trouble getting my pics added on here from Imgur for awhile.I had more
build pics, but I'll just post a few more recent ones instead.
In the pic below, the covering on the wings & stabilizer have been shrunk. The
blue tissue on the fuselage hasn't been shrunk yet.I have to remove some of
the tissue where the wings attach to the fuselage.
I'm not the greatest at covering. For some reason I struggled more applying
the yellow tissue than the blue.I was left with little wrinkles on the leading
edge curves.I decided to strip it off,and replace it with the blue.
(the blue tissue I've started hasn't been shrunk yet)
