Things do get kind of quiet on this forum. Sometimes it really gets hopping. I've only flown the Javelin. Nice flying model, built completely from the kit. Did use my own rubber motor, eventually.
I'm going to build one or the other someday just for fun. I have a friend with a son who might get one if his grades are good. I'm sure they will need advice. I might send them here.
We will see how things play out.

I'm currently finishing my Guillow 200 series SE5A. Also, just finished re-covering my Guillow Fairchild, for the second time. I said wouldn't ever do it again but, it needed repairs and relocating the motor peg. Sprayed it with Aero Gloss metallic blue dope. Acquired the bottle of dope at a hobby shop for $1.oo. Should have bought more.
Aero Gloss dope is butyrate dope. Says so right on the bottle. Butyrate dope is still used today on full sized aircraft. I would say that it is lighter in weight than acrylic paint because most of the liquid is volatile. Looks great to me. It's a lot like thinned enamel paint in consistency.
