You need to have them posted on some web service, like Flickr or PhotoBucket. Each picture has a URL, and you copy that and insert it between two img tags (img)url(/img). The photo is grabbed from the link and inserted into your post.

This is an inconvenient way to go about it, but it saves a ton of disk space and server resources...[/img]

I've got a ton of that type of off humor- I hope not to offend anyone but I do interject that sort of thing. I'm fairly politically incorrect. I don't vote right- my candidate never wins so I must not fill in the blank or use a Number 3 pencil instead of Number 2 :~}

Is there no way on this particular forum to edit your post after the fact?

No edit feature on this forum. The pic is funny. Looking forward to seeing pics of your craft.

My Sopwith is taking shape---I'll post when its in pre-painting condition and then again after I go overboard.
I plan on handpainting the pilot and gear, and im going to paint the main body with an airbrush and possibly the camo by hand...I am going to make it look as close to whats on the box color-wise for my first attempt in 30 years.

If you young whipper-snappers wonder why a 45 year old guy is building models---its very therapeutic and teaches patience- Two things we need more of as life goes on: therapy and patience he he :~}

When I painted the Aeronca Champ I built way back in the stone ages I used colored dope and painted by hand. I was disappointed that the wings curled upward after that. Do you think thats from painting wrong? Like maybe doing the top and it dried and tightened before the bottom was painted?
I plan on using acrylic or emamel and airbrushing which should get the model covered all over- faster.
Im old enough to remember we didnt have the internet we take for granted these days- to ask others more experienced whats up, have the luxury of forums and access to the world and companies you otherwise couldn't find or know about.

Lots of things can cause the potato chip thing. I learned from the forums to mount the tissue on a frame and pre-shrink for the wings. The fuse is not so prone to warpage, but still can. Hope this helps.
I love "bones" shots.
This hobby has an amazing amount to offer at any age. I'm 44. Its amazing what you will learn when you learn to fly models.

You are right in being theraputic, I use it as a stress relief.
