Maybe a vid showing the basic tools and where to get or make them.
I'm gearing for the newbie crowd, because as a newbie myself, I can relate to what info is missing and perhaps adress the fears that come with your first plane and why it crashed.
I'v been online for about a year now and only one person has come out and said:
" All planes crash. Period. Get used to it. Doesent matter who flyies it. If you get real good at Building and flying, They fly away and crash somewhere you cant see. "

Should it be said that its ok if your plane isnt as good as the ones you see online?

Why do you assume all newbies are young? There seem to be as many 'retreads' returning to the hobby after many years as there are new teen modelers.

Man, I wish there was an 'edit' button for these posts...

Two other thoughts..

I wish I could find my tripod so I could put up a laminating balsa tips and tails video. It is so much simpler to show than to explain.

As to crashing - "Flying models are temporary art". The either crash, are given to Hung (Lord of thermals and fly-aways), or they simply melt away with age.

I made this video using a plastic Nieuport 17C.1 from Testor's. This is my "reference" build for the Guillow's kit...comming soon!

Thanx.

You know, it was originally going to be one 10 min video, but then I found I couldn't get enough info in 10 min to make it worthwhile.
