Gonna try a Javelin. Its the first plane of this type that I have done. I think its a p 30 type?
I just bought the plans and decals. Hope nobody gets mad if I improvise abit here and there.
I tryied to cut the sides out of 1/16 sheet. Traced onto tissue , then gluesticked that to two sheets. [on top of each other] Worked out decent but I broke it by accident.
So, while watching the tube, I stripped 4 hard sticks and a soft one.
Gonna stick to the plan with the wings. I guy sure could pack alot of rubber into one of these.

I built a Javelin back in the 80's. It flew really well right off the building board. I only had to add a little down thrust to get a good cllimb under power. Just keep it light. This endurance model is capable of high performance if properly tweaked. Experiment .
Alot of firsts for me. I made my first propshaft/bearing combo. Worked out nicely.
Used single edge razors. They cut better but I need to pratice using them because theres no handle. They do a better job and they are cheaper, so I will have to learn how to use them. Pratice.
For testing, I am useing 1/4 super sport. 1 loop. My turns chart says I can safely go 1500 turns but my electric winder/counter will only twist 800.
Thats enough for now. It tryies to pull itself out of my hand. 7 inch prop.
Made my first nose block from scratch.

Looks like you are about ready to go. Since I hand launched mine I omitted the landing gear. Trimmed right its a real floater. You can pack alot of rubber in that fuselage. If your going to go for max turns on your rubber I would suggest using a blast tube during the winding process to protect your plane. Rubber lube helps also. Flash
I cant enter. Sorry. The fuse is not true to plan and I used my own wood.
Bens plane qualifyies. I will speak with him about it. He might just give ya'll a run for the money.
Got the lube. Thinking real hard about a blast tube. May very well go for max.

So build another one with the kit wood and enter it. It's all 1/20" sheet and unless it's rock hard, can't be that much heavier. You can do anything you want to the nose block under the rules.
