John, I layed awake last night trying to figure out what you meant by that, and
it wasn't until this afternoon while mowing the back forty, that I finally got it.

Those blocks of gibberish text on the P-39 build page,

http://www.parkerinfo.com/ap63.htm

are "place holders" for future content. I guess that I've been doing HTML for so
long, that I just don't notice the tools we use to build pages anymore here in the
shop.

Those "place holders" will be replaced with new content as we progress with the project,
so it's important to hit your "reload" or "refresh" button when visiting each time to
download the freshest version of the page.

Thanx John!

Oh, and... If you do happen to run across a de-coder ring, get me one too!

These are the window frame parts that I conveniently ommitted on the smaller
plane. The little ones were half this size, brittle, and impossible for my
fumble fangers to deal with, so the small plane gets the "modern" look...

Once installed over the white cardboard windows, they look pretty kewl!

A little bit of framework under the wing, and we'll has us a belly...

Still haven't gotten rid of the Fulmar, so the wooden stands are still on the work table. Any takers? *G*

A little more sikspan, and dope, and we'll have it... (mayhaps a bit of paint?)

Big wheels for scale pics, rubber tires for flying... The Guillow's wheels
look good, but they land badly...

I too suffer from the high humidity where I live. "Coulees" as we call them surround my residence on 3 sides. At times of "high humidity" the silkspan on some of my lightly coated planes seems to begin to sag. Alas, I found a small 4" fan my wife uses when drying her nails and it works oh so good in the facilitation of evaporation. It takes the dry time of elmers from 8hrs to 2.

I had to look it up... Kinda like our Bayous, only not full of water all the time...

Coulee (or coulée) is applied rather loosely to different landforms, all of which refer to a kind of valley or drainage zone.
The word coulee comes from the Canadian French coulée, from French word couler meaning "to flow".
The term is often used interchangeably in the Great Plains for any number of water features, from ponds to creeks.
An alternative meaning for this term exists in southern Louisiana where it identifies a large, paved channel for water runoff,
but this derives from its original usage in reference to a creek, which was then paved to improve urban drainage.

ADW 123: do you not put dehidral on your u control planes
Most have either zero or very little dihedral. Dihedral helps a plane "roll." Roll is a bad word when flying the circle.
Roll means you better have brought your catcher's mitt, because the plane is coming at you...
