Just came across old models, looks like they're from the 40s

Post by Guest »

I'm in the process of moving and just came across a box in the basement with a bunch of these old Guillow's Balsa model planes and they look delicate so I don't want to rip anything just by touching them so I figured I'd come to a site of people who know what to do. Based on my knowledge of WW2 propaganda, the font looks very similar to the early 1940s and the price on the boxes are 10 cents.

How would I insert pictures on this message board? I tried clicking "img" but I don't get that "insert file" window. All I get is "[/img]".

Okay... you don't "upload" the photo to this site...

what you do is make this site display a photo that is elsewhere on the web.

example...:

http://www.parkerinfo.com/c46058.jpg

the above address is an image file. (note that it ends in ".jpg")

if you paste in the address of an image, then highlite that address, then click the image button... this happens:

OR.... You can e-mail me the images to my address below, and make em show up for you.

How's dat?

If anybody wants to bid, be my guest. I at least hope that you have a domestic shipping address.

Shelf Models

Some of the boxes said "Shelf Models" and I wondered if these were the old solid block, carve, sand & seal models. They look very familiar.
