Anything like the AMA for those who don't fly their models

Post by dbcisco »

I would like to get involved in an organization that supports static modelling the way the AMA supports flying models.
A bumblebee isn't supposed to fly but does.
My plane is supposed to fly but doesn't.
Balances out doesn't it : )

I thought you would get at least a couple of bites on this, but even though the membership on this forum seems to be growing there are'nt many people interested in organizing into a group, club, association or whatever kind of moniker this sort of gathering would bring itself to go by. In order for an undertaking of this sort of organizing to evolve it usually takes a main core of people who are totally dedicated to the idea and will more often than not invest way too much of their own time and resources along with a good dose of perserverance to follow through. Just a big old beautiful ray of sunshine, me. But every once in a while these ideas do come to fruition and a succesful club is born. Good luck.

Sadly the AMA only cares about "flying" models. The AMA is far to big on the flying competition stuff for my tastes.
