That's the first 17 done in silver I've seen and it sure is a beauty. Hope you have an airbrush for the silver and you'll need to be "very" picky on the prep as silver shows every little blend and seam. My nieuport got done in silver along with a waco glider. I found if the silver got toned down with just a touch of white in the paint mix it came out less garish than the straight silver. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I had no idea silver was so difficult. If it shows all the flaws in my workmanship I'm in deep trouble. We'll see what happens.

Icould have shImageined this up a little with some clear coating but?

This is probably about 1 part white to about 6 parts silver mix . for an adde luster you could maybe use a clear coat or a satin clear over it :roll:

Wonderful detail and color! I probably need to experiment a little on this one.
