What next?

Post by Squishyp38 »

I have just finished my typhoon build. What should I build next?

900 series skyraider
900 series P-51
500 series Hellcat
Or 600 series javelin
The P-38 is arguably the best... Forget that, it is THE BEST fighter of world war two, and is epically AWESOME!

get urself a super piper cub 95. get yourself ten of them. build em till they r perfect. its a great kit. start small. those kits are about 12 bucks maybe less and they are wonderful practice. if you learn to cover something tricky like that, then, you get good at it. also a great flyer. plus, you have phugoids thread on his which is the bible.

I'm kind of in the same state, just a bit behind the Squish in that I haven't tissued and assembled my first kit!

My plan:

Finish my 602 Cessna 180 as best I can. Sand, seal, sand, tissue up. The fusalage is just slightly torqued. It may not fly straight, but it will be good practice.

702 Arrow. I hope to do a better job on this, and make it a good flyer.

302 Cessna 170 . . . maybe electric powered.

A Dumas Zero, which I might give to my father (who grew up during WWII).

After doing all these inexpensive kits I figure I'll be ready for something challenging!

How did that come out? I have one in the closet, looks okay but there was one on Virtual Airodrome that someone built up a bit and it came out superb. I'm doing a Comet A-36, looks like fun. Took a few hours to cut out the pieces and clean them up. I like the smaller scale Guillows like the 500 series. Easy to build, not too much on the resource drain and relatively nice scale.

If you want a flashy one, P-51! If you want a excellent flier, Super Cub 95!
