Just kind of started doing it... No real method to my madness. You will want to pick the nice and bendable 1/32 sheets of balsa, and if you steam them or even just wet them after cutting they will wrap around your frame just fine. You will get the feel of it. The best part is that CA glue will stick instantly even on wet balsa. There is enough thickness with the 1/32 sheets that it's okay if they're not all level -- they sand quick.
