well, looking all done except for staining the prop. you can see my attemp at this model three years ago (i think you could tell)

like i said, a major improvement

this is how i do my rigging most of the time, hope it gives a good idea. i just use masking tape to keep everything tought and in possition.

Nice job ADW, you can rightfully be proud of your efforts.

I could never cover as well as you at your age, mind you the internet did not exist then, so good info was hard to come by........

when i built my original triplane, i did not have very good internet acess. i basically put glue on the frames, then slaped tissue on, then i brushed a ton of glue on the outside. but my covering methods devoloped as i got smarter and read that little booklet that comes in the kit...

That little booklet is like the bible. I keep giving them to my friends in an attempt to convert them from video gamers to model-builders. :D

it seems that a lot of people either dont have time or are missing necessary skills to be able to build these things well. ive been instructing some kids at my school on how to build em.

Due to my over exsposure to junk mail, warrantee cards, and other various junk mail I did'nt bother to read the small booklets included in the Guillow's kits until maybe my 3rd kit. The information in these little books sure answered a bunch of quandries and simplified some things that I'd way over complicated. You see a lot of questions on the forum that are right there in the book, especially about covering technique. Hat's off to Guillows for including this literature, most of the other manufacturers won't spend the time or money to extend this courtesy to us amateurs that need all the hints and special instructions to build a quality model.

Perhaps we could convince Guillow's to put that book as a separate item in their kit parts listing page? Or in the building supplies category?

Thing is, guillows doesn't do to much, at least recently. They should.
