R.A.F. Museum Hendon

Post by cdwheatley »

I will be paying a visit to the R.A.F. Museum at Hendon, north London, a week today i.e. Sunday the 9th September. I plan to take lots of photos! If anyone would like me to take specific photos of any particular aircraft while I'm there then please let me know by posting your requests here along with your e-mail address so I can send the photos to you afterwards. Alternatively you can send me a message via this site. I will do my best to oblige but obviously I can't promise anything! Further details of the museum and the aircraft on display can be found here http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/london/coll ... /index.cfm

Hey CD,
Mighty nice of you to offer to take some pics. I would like some photos of the SE5A and the Fokker DVII. Mainly, interested in colours and markings.
Detail shots not really needed.
I'll PM you my email address.

Ok, will do guys :).

It's strange that you've both chosen planes I already have myself though - I am currently building an SE5a and I have the B25 Mitchell in my stash!

Thanks for the photos, CD. They look just fine. Very interesting scheme on that DVII. Would like to try and replica it. Hope you had a nice time there. Looks like a superb museum.

You're welcome! I had a great time thanks - lots of very interesting aircraft of all types. I found the bombers (Avro Lancaster, B17 Flying Fortress, Vickers Wellington etc) particularly impressive. In fact it was so good I may well have to make a return visit some time in the not too distant future!
