Looks like a candidate for Ageless Engines scale R-2800.

At first, I was going take the easy way out, and just say, "huh?"

But, I decided to do some research.

Interesting website. His code wouldn't work on my 64 bit LINUX/Firefox lappy here, but I went wise guy, stole his code and rewrote his links.

Having read all his pages...

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT WOULD COST TO BUILD ONE OF HIS ENGINES?

When I was a kid, I had access to a machine shop, as all the men in my family were with Lee C. Moore Drilling Co. out of Tulsa, Ok. I don't have that access now. Set-up alone for making all the parts would be tens of thousands of dollars. Somehow, I think maybe an old chain saw motor would be a better idea. Besides, it clearly says on his plans, (in many places on the site, "THESE PLANS ARE NOT FOR FLYING AIPLANES." I think he's worried about attorny's fees.

But... How much fun would it be to build a plane around one of his 18 cylinder beasts?

Always have had trouble with the joining of the vertical stab with the fuse. Mr. Duckett taught me that if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'...

On the Corsair, the leading edge lights have always been a pain in the a$$ as well. This time, I think all will be well...

I don't see why not? I just blew it up to 100"... That's gonna be exactly between 1/7 and 1/6 scale... so 1/16 is just little. Go for it!
