I have 3 Guillows on the shelf and one on the way. I am getting a Golden Age Reproduction Albatros this week. I think from then on I will only use plans as I drift so far from the plan that the parts are mostly left in the box.
A bumblebee isn't supposed to fly but does.
My plane is supposed to fly but doesn't.
Balances out doesn't it : )

I have 3 on the shelf. I try not to stockpile. Nothing against collectors, but if I bought every kit I had an interest in there would be hundreds..........
I have collected a couple plans, just because I like the art.

I think i need thearpy.....lol I could go broke in this hobby... I can't seem to say no and just keep adding kits from paycheck to paycheck...I'm trying to have at least over 50 kits plus by christmas if not more and trying to dabble with a lhs around my small town for the kids....

Funny you should mention this! I took an inventory, the other day, and found that I had thirty-one kits in my closet. I have put a moretorium on new projects until I have finished a substantial number of these.

What a relief, I thought I might be getting some kind of an addiction going as I have one on the shelf waitng and was thinking about another. My wife actually got the last one because it keeps me out of her hair. I'd mentioned I would probably build a mustang P-51 after my catalina was done and she shopped the web and got me one made by Dare. This model is not for the beginner as the plans are by no means even close to Guillows in procedures, descriptions and any step by step instructions. The wood is all laser cut and the dimensions look like it will go along with my 1000 series corsair so as long as the weather isn't suitable for any yard work I'm in model builder's bliss. As long as ther is room on my ceiling I see no need to worry about "too many".

I'm up to 18 in the box. Guess I,m slowing down in my old age. Should I count any planes that I turned back into kits ?

Funny how I don't think I have that many kits till I start adding them up.

I counted 27 Guillow's kits, but 11 are discontinued so I don't feel guilty about having grabbed them while I could.
And I have 12 other kits of various brands, 3 of them discontinued.

All 39 kits were purchased at very good prices, most on eBay. The luxury of having many kits is that I can keep my eye open and buy when prices go down, like on Easter Sunday (I'm still kicking myself for missing a kit that sold for half of normal). I'm pretty much out of storage space so I'm only allowing myself to bid on discontinued kits and the occasional low ball bid on in production kits. I'm also out of space to build any more kits so I'm just trying to keep up on repairing damage from flying and finishing up those builds already in progress.

I was putting away latest arrival from E-bay and counted up what is in storage. I have 41 kits on hand and 13 built models hanging in den. All I like having is the PBY-5A. Also trying to bidding on B29, Mossie and Piper Tomahawk
