Hi Dave - Gotta say, I love your pics of your builds.  For me they're inspirational!  I am only interested in static planes.  I would love to know if you hints or tips for finishing these planes.  Do you use the kit's tissue for covering?  Is there anything special you do prior to finish painting?  Thanks for sharing your photos...

Upper Wing Covering
How did you manage to cover the upper wing so that the recessed area over the cockpit is wrinkle free.  I've recovered that area with tissue three times and still have a few wrinkles?  I an thinking that you may have covered the wings with balsa instead of tissue.  is that the secret?

Stearman Pt-17 Wing Strut Parts
Can anyone identify the Stearman PT-17 H1 and H3 parts?  The parts as supplied with the kit have a notch where there is no notch on the plans.  I would post a photo of the parts with this message; however, I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
