Advice sought, yes, again...

I am getting ready to cover my first new project- the spitfire lc. Advice needed- should I sand the balsa first, and if so to what grit? Should I then seal the balsa, and if so, with what. The rest of the way I have learned from Dave D's tutorials- only question is seal tissue with straight dope or 50-50? Acrylics for me afterwards. Dave's advice has been spot on for me. The old days are starting to come back to me. I gotta try to remember not to forget!

I've read that a hundred million times, and missed the 2 coats of dope part each time. Thanks for your patience. It is appreciated.
