Here's the threat: In a previous thread I said that I was going to stick one of the US star insignia onto my arse (in repsonse to a joking reference that someone made) take a picture and post it on this forum. To add insult to injury It will be stuck on my buttock upside down

Hey....Phugoid...I dare you, I double dare you....as Harry Callahan said "Go ahead, make my day. " On second thought, don't...there are other sites for tacky nonsense like this. This is a public site, with basically good, intelligent people...and besides members, sponsor Guillows is watching, vistors/the general public, the authorities, our brave servicemen and women. I'd also suggest your not using words such as "Threat"....since alarming issues have surfaced recently re R/C airplanes, and you don't really want any risk of the FBI/CIA knocking on your door, do you? I'm sure other regulatory agencies also monitor public web sites and forums as well. Now that you've worked up a sweat, let's talk.
Phugoid, yes, I know what you really mean, and it can be upsetting, the nonsense holding us back. I can read between the lines, but sometimes, emotionally charged statements can worsen matters instead of help...look, a man can decorate a plane as he or she wishes. I've seen 'em eg with pirate insignias, all kinds, and what of us.....we apply those of yesteryears axis powers, countries once enemies, now mostly allies. Well, now while I'm hunting around for supplies for "stick model" assembly, wandering around craft stores/hardware places like a zombie, I might wind up getting flack for posting this among the members here. For awhile, I've said this bickering must stop....so I genuinely agree there. Phugoid, I think you mean well (just do not go to tacky places, other than glue), or imply threats.
I hope our members see how upsetting this can be to some...we must move on intelligently, or pack it in already. Comments?
It is a joke! An Ice breaker if you will. Sometimes that pause into something completely rediculous is enough to make one stop and think about what is important in life.
