Here's the 172 I built for a guy, he was like a giggly little girl when I only charged him $50, he's a good friend otherwise it would have been full price
Considering that Edvard Munch's painting, The Scream just sold at Sotheby's auction for around 120 million bucks last week, I think your friend got a better looking piece of art, at a much better price.
No plans for r.c. display only. There may be 3 days a year weather will allow you to fly these things out here as the wind is never below 5-10 knots and you also have to watch for the hawks, harriers, and owls as one of my nephews had a kite totally shredded by what was descrbed to me as a couple of barn owls.

LOL!! So if you do get the occasion to fly one, you need to have someone on stand by with a 12 gauge to protect the model from hostile bogies. LOL!!
I could never bring myself to shoot one of those beautiful birds,we're taking all their habitat from them so they keep getting scarcer and we keep taking more, they could tear up every model I have if it helped their cause. Also, a 12 gauge is a little over kill when a .22 would do just fine.
Thanks for the compliment, this plane would be #20 since I've started the hobby a couple years ago,all done with wood glue and cheap water base acrylics, it seems I enjoy the next one more than the last one on all occasions of starting a new build. I surprised myself in completing this one in about 5-6 weeks. The laser cut builds are almost too easy ,but, a real joy to build. This one had sat in the sun somewhere as the balsa sheets were all warped, or a little high humidity could have helped the warpage too. I misted the warped sheets with water than sqeezed them between 2 cookie sheets and dried them in the oven at 200 degrees for a couple hours and they turned out nice and straight and cut out real nice. And so I ramble on. Thanks again.
