Tower Hobbies

Post by Brenda »

I just checked Tower and Guillow's is listed there again! While I dislike Tower the idea of getting kits from them makes me feel a little better about them. For the longest time they refused for what ever reason to carry anything other than Dumas. Prices seem fair enough and they stock other things like props and paper.

I only ever bought from Tower a total of 3 times, the last two were absolutely horrid. Given the fact that other places sold the same thing at same cost I elected to spend my dollars with companies that don't pack a box by stepping on contents so it will fit.

I am one of the rare few, but I like Tower Hobbies, glad to see they are selling Sig and Guillows again.

There are better deals to be had on Amazon.com than from Tower Hobbies.

I remember Tower hobbies from like 40 yrs. ago and their catalog was like an inch thick and they had like every thing an r.c. enthusiast could ever want and an assortment of kits from a bunch of different brands, my brother-in-law introduced me to them as I knew nothing of the r.c. world but it seems then they were like the bible of modeling, I was very surprised to recieve a very small 50 page catalog but it did not have Guillows.
