I built this in 1974 when I was 15, and it is still in one piece hanging in my den. My only surviving Guillow's kit.
The tail was done with Monokote trim and the props are 2 Top Flight wood props notched together. It is covered with silk-span and Sig Dope.
I thought you all would enjoy.

Nicely done and it has held up well. The aluminum finish is especially good. Are you still building?

Yes, I am still building. I have not built a Guillow's kit in years, but still building RC out of balsa wood.
Ironically, my current project is a P51-D, but 64" wingspan.
