I build about 2 or 3 a year and I've been building for about 10 so yeah I would say I have built about 30. Mostly guillow but some sig and a couple of others. Like maybe 3 that were R/C.

Probably 70+ over the last few decades. I have 28 intact at this time. Some I've built 2 or three times, some are given away, some just deteriorate or get too dusty to clean anymore, and a few just get accidentally wrecked - cat chewed up one!!!

I gave up counting after 250 or so, and that was years past. That has included Guillow's, Comet, Jetco, Carl Goldberg, Berkley, Midwest, Sterling, Scientific, Graupner, KeilKraft and others' kits, self-designs, magazine fold-outs, and ranges from FF rubber, tow-line and hand-launched gliders through C/L scale, race, combat and stunt, to R/C slope soaring and pattern and micro (sub-ounce) electric scale and sport models.

You can spend a lot of time and money on modeling if you apply yourself.

I have built over 10, but only about 6-7 are still intact. I built a Dauntless about 2 years ago, but it was destroyed by a 3 year old. I was 12 years old at the time, and I was completely devestated when I found the Dauntless destroyed.

My first model was a Comet Mustang 25 inch wing span. It went up, stalled and smashed the nose.

Got 15 since I retired and starting to build again. Started with the "solid models" thinking they were Comet but, may have been Guillows. This of course was just at the start of WW11.

Any figure is of necessity a guess. I began building "stick and paper" kits
shortly following WWII when I was old enough not to injure myself too much. Comet, Cleveland, Megow, Guillow, Monogram, you name it. Some
of the kits and early materials were just terrible, but we managed. The only thing I miss about the"good old days" is the great variety of kits to
choose from. A figure, around 400 I suppose.
Keep 'em flying!
