Now with LASER CUT BALSA PARTS !!!
Introduced over the western front in August 1917, the Fokker Triplane soon became the favorite plane of Germany’s greatest World War 1 ace, Baron Manfield von Richthofen. After scoring numerous aerial victories, von Richthofen was shot down in a triplane on April 21, 1918 by Captain Roy Brown of the R.A.F.

Neil Turner –
I previously built a Guillow’s Catalina. It was great fun but the pre-cut balsa shapes were difficult to press out with the ‘spar’ notches far from perfect, most needing cut out with a modeller’s knife. Maybe it was an old kit before laser-cutting was improved (invented?)? However, I’ve now started building their Fokker Triplane and the laser cuts are brilliant. The pressed-out parts only need a very light sanding to remove the tiny burrs where they were held to the balsa sheet. A great improvement leading to a far neater finish.
